Recipient of the Padma Shri Award in 2004, Gowri Ishwaran is an internationally-recognized educationist with over 30 years of experience, and a passionate believer in the power of education to create change. Mrs Ishwaran’s innovative, values-based approach to learning has catalyzed a paradigm shift in the Indian educational sphere. She was the founding Principal of Sanskriti School, New Delhi, which is counted among the leading schools of India, and she now serves as CEO of The Global Education and Leadership Foundation (tGELF).

As tGELF CEO, Mrs Ishwaran has been instrumental in the development and spread of the groundbreaking leadership development curriculum, which has reached more than three million students both in India and abroad.

Currently, she continues her journey as an education consultant where she guides and supports leading educational institutions in their pursuit of excellence.
