Vera Dulce Fernandes Martinho, Chief Impact Officer, JA Europe

Vera joined JA Europe in April 2015, driven by a passion for education and a commitment to empowering young people. With dual Master’s degrees in Economics and Public Policies and in Architecture, she combines a multidisciplinary approach with solid experience in research programs and impact evaluations. Initially joining JA as a volunteer, she quickly transitioned to a Project Manager role, where she led large scale, high-impact projects that expanded JA’s reach and influence.

As Chief Impact Officer, Vera now drives strategic initiatives and collaborates closely with the JA network to develop innovative new products that address emerging educational needs. Her leadership in Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) ensures rigorous assessment and continuous improvement of JA learning experiences, driving measurable impact across the network.
